The first My Kingdom for a game Princess breakthrough hit, introducing us to the game, which was able to combine time management, resource management, and adventure games in one big package of entertainment. Continuation of no less impressive, relying on a formula for success and adding new twists on this path.
The game begins immediately after the previous game, Arthur and the princess balloon flight to some tropical island for a honeymoon. Unfortunately, their holiday breaks, when their hot air balloon accidents, and they were on the islands. More disaster happened shortly after, Arthur must help restore the local inhabitants of the island in exchange for their help in getting him and the princess home.
The game is played on several islands, each of which contains several levels of increasingly difficult. You must complete quests to go through these levels. Examples include quests repair of bridges, buildings and defeat enemies. These tasks have specific requirements, such as repair of the bridge will require a certain amount of firewood and food, and the employee to perform actions. In addition, the win will require skills of an angry bear hunter, and enough gold to pay.
This brings us to resource management, which is part of the game. There are three resources: gold, wood and food products. Every action you’re in the game will include either the acquisition or use of these resources. You need food for the workers to clear debris, wood to build a hunting lodge, and the gold to pay the hunter to kill the enemies. So how do you get these resources? You can send their employees to collect any free resources lying around. But more importantly, do not have the resources of buildings, which can be constructed. Fishing hut will produce food at a constant speed, while the sawmill is doing the same for wood.
As you can imagine, proper management of your resources is the key to victory on every level. There are also elements of puzzle games here, and you need to properly plan the order of your actions. Do things in order, and you may find yourself without waiting for the sawmill and wood slowly to produce enough to continue. This is fine if you have all day … but you do not know. It’s a game, time management in the end, and you will have a race against time to complete all tasks on time.
